  1. MONOPOLY P.C. was first written in PR1ME BASICV on a PR1ME 550 in 1979. 
  2. It is still on that system today as a 9 player (inc. computer player)
  3. game with trading and merging.  When I translated it UP to MBASIC, I 
  4. took out the trading and auctioning aspects and made it a "solitaire" game.
  5. This means that the game is just between YOU and ME, and, like all computers,
  6. I take things verrrry seriously, and although I don't like to lose, I am
  7. willing to play with you as often as you like - so let's have some fun!

  9. MONOPOLY P.C. has been designed to minimize your keystrokes.  ALWAYS use the
  10. ENTER (or RETURN) key for the first response in parentheses at a prompt.

  12. If you want to check up on old games, the file MONOPOLY.REC contains results
  13. and which random numbers were used as 'seeds'.  You may TYPE this file.

  15. By the way, MONOPOLY P.C. is faithful to the rules of the Parker Brothers
  16. game.  If you want to check the rules, buy Monopoly (C) and play along!

  18. You have the opportunity to control the environment (display speed,colors,
  19. and sound) by using option 9 from the decisions menu. The default settings
  20. are NO delay, BORING monochrome colors, and the sound is initially ON.
